Google Display Network

I usually do Search when using adwords...however, I've only done Google's Display Network. I know that you really should do one, not both Search and Display Network at the same time.

Just wondering if anyone has had a decent ROI using Google Display Network. I've tried it before but w/ limited success (only twice though).

  • Well, the search network is much more highly targeted, since you can bid on only the keywords and searches you want.

    The content or display network is often less targeted, you have less control over the precise placements of your ads, but much cheaper as well.

    When using the content network, your ads generally display on 'relevant sites' rather than sites directly targeting the keywords you chose and nothing else...
