Yahoo Search Marketing International- Any experiences?

Search marketing for other countries are always cheaper. If you are promoting to the English market in foreign countries, the cost per click for the IM niche is usually 50% lower than the U.S. market. In the case of other niches, for example, the health niche, you can get good keywords for up to 70% lower.

If you are targeting international countries with foreign languages, you can get the keywords about 60 to 70% lower. From my experience with the Spanish IM niche, the cost per click for most keywords are between $0.5 to $1.30 and you will get targeted traffic.

Depending on the niche you want to target, do not launch a search marketing campaign immediately. First of all do a test campaign to test the waters. The international market is different from the U.S. market. Some people like to have a freebie and have close interaction with you before buying your product. The international countries are not easily convinced. They like to go through a lot of websites before deciding to purchase. That is why the CTR is generally very low. So, do not be surprised if you have no sales in 100 clicks. The problem is that they also consult English websites for information about a product, even though they don't understand English perfectly.

Test the waters first before you launch too deep. Do not expect too much success so that you would not be disappointed.
