google adsense promotion: i need your help

i bought a book on how to promote my google adsense account and the book says "once you have up to 5000 friends, you are in money. all you need to do is to start sending messages to them. you can send them 20 to 50 messages at a time. you can create a list and once you will be able to send messages to all members of the list at once.
the help i need is, i want to know if i can promote my google adsense account this way without google closing down my account?

    NO!!! Stop before you even start! This is the worst advice I have ever seen and will almost guarantee that you will lose your Adsense account if you follow it.

      How outdated is your account really?

      I am pretty sure it is against Google's Adsense ToS to request friends to click on your adsense ads.

      In fact google is quickly cracking down on a lot of black hat methods that are running rampant out there.

      Useful, valuable content is what google loves.
