If i create a backlink on a site ex. blog, forum should i then ping that site to get it indexed??

I ahve bee creating links for a month now probably about 200-300 by hand and only 67 backlinks show in yahoo explorer, how can i get these backlinks indexed??

  • Yahoo don't show all backlinks.
    You can try checking the links by using site: parameter.

    Just Ping will not help in indexing Backlinks. Try creating RSS feeds from your links and submit them to RSS Directories. That should help.

    But, keep in mind, Links from low quality sites most of the time don't get indexed.

    • Ok thanks, I know that i have submitted my link to some high PR sites but these have still not been indexed!

      How do i create RSS feeds from my links? Don't understand how to do that?

  • Pinging can help pages to be indexed. But only search engines decide to index or not to index pages of a website and you can't force them to index a special page by pining it. By pinging a page, you are telling search engines that please index this page too . But they decide a about it.
    When you have made 200-300 backlinks for your website and only some of them are indexed by search engines, it shows that you probably didn't make backlinks for your website from quality pages. Usually quality pages will be indexed by search engines fast and note making some backlinks from quality websites is better than having a lot of backlinks from low quality sites that will not be indexed by search engines.
  • I do not think pinging your backlinks is a good idea. Just submit your site and blog rss to as many high ranked pr sites and directories and ping your site regularly
