PPC Conversion Tweaking & Testing

I'm testing a few PPC campaigns and would appreciete some advice with regards to testing different campaigns.

I have sent 400 hops to a clickbank offer resulting in 70 orderform impressions but 0 sales.

I have been direct linking to the sales page in this first phase.

Would it be wise to tweak further i.e linking to a landing page and tailoring the pre sell copy to the audience?

Or is this generally an indication that the price of the product is causing no one out of the 70 orderform impressions to actually buy the product, and a cheaper product would be better?

Another quick question about landing pages, if I had my own landing page could I link straight to the orderform on click bank and bypass the official landing page? Or would this be not advised? I'm just thinking if my presell is good enough I dont want the official sales page to be another obsticle.

Thanks
Tim
