Youtube backlink value

Since links posted on video descriptions at youtube are nofollow, should you then minimize your video efforts and focus elsewhere? Of course the link will have some value as a direct traffic source, but other than that It will give you a backlink.. Imo i think I might be better of spending time writing two unique articles for ezine rather than spending time on video making.

What do you guys think?

    True, but the traffic you receive is usually worth it. Especially if you syndicate it through other means to different video websites. I think Traffic Geyser is the software for this.

    The nice thing is the video will probably rank high in the SERPs and you can backlink to the video for some extra juice to get into the top spots.

    Yep, know that. Guess the nofollow on youtube is their way to make sure they wont get tons of useless powerpoint clips. hehe

    Well, I agree with you henjon. Its better if we focus more on the activities that are more worth doing like article writing and submission to quality sites like ezine but it doesn't mean that we totally avoid making videos. If nothing else videos can bring you traffic which is ultimately one of your targets. So,it all depends on how you manage your time...

    yeah, agree on that. Will not stop making videos, also works well as additions to the money site.
