If i was you i will not spend anything on Google PPC for the time being. reason being that they have come up with a new instant results system where the results change as a person types and a result will cost advertisers more money.

Re: How much money you need for Adwords campaign? There is no exact answer for this as it depends on your product and budget. For instance, one of my client spends around $8,000 - $10,000 pm on Adwords and get ROI of $30,000 per month.

Also so that you are aware, out of 10 Google PPC campaigns 8-9 will fail and lose money, so there is an element of testing and you need to see what works and what doesn't. This is something i have found from 7 years of experience in PPC arena.

Instant search results has little effect on PPC, not unless you bid on short one-word keywords, and even then it should not have an effect. Impressions are counted once the searcher is done by clicking the search button, pressing enter, or not typing for three seconds.
