My new site is indexed and should be ranked but isn't

our site is now one month old with a growing number of very high quality backlinks. It has been left out of the rankings and I can't figure it out. The search term is 'game audio'

Please help a total novice get this into the rankings

    You are mistaken about thinking this: "it should be ranked."

    Takes a whole lot more than just following some list or wishing.
    If it were only that easy.

    Try adding some other unique word to game audio that is on your
    site, do a search, and maybe it's be #1. But who else is searching?

    I don't even think google has a clear idea as to what game audio is
    when one searches for that. The results are all over the map.

      thanks - I'm glad it's showing up. I should mention that this wasn't done blindly at all - I used 'market samurai' to test the keyword combo, which gets around 20k monthly. Luckily I have some very high ranking sites linking back to mine - it just hasn't shown up in google yet

      this will be interesting since two of them are .edu and .gov which should be a massive boost

        You need to build backlinks. I don't know whether you meant lucky when you siad lucky about the inbound links, but you shall really rank in the sense of ranking the way that really matters only when you manage to come out of any luck factor and guarantee that you have enough number of good backlinks pointing to your site with the right keyword(s) in the anchor text.

    One very very important suggestion from me. Don't build high PR backlinks non stop. Build some simple backlinks too. Diversification is very important or you will get your website sandboxed. Be careful.
