Hi.

How much can I expect to pay for a backlink from the homepage of a PR4 site, I mean from the actual home page itself where the PR is 4 and not one of its constituent pages with a PR 0.

Thanks.

Jim.

I am not seeking to receive traffic from it, just purely for SEO purposes. The only places where I am currently able to receive backlinks is from article directories, blog commenting and guest posts.

Most of these sites are high PR but the pages the links come from are PR 0. Do you have any tips on how I can get them for free? The only alternative I can think of is buying high PR domains other then paying for links on exisiting sites.

Wait until pagerank update. If your guest posting on high pr and quality sites, then their individual pages will become decent pagerank too.

There's always link exchanges, but they aren't nearly as valuable anymore. Producing valuable content is the best form, people will start linking to your site.

Producing high quality content is the best method to get links from. But how will they find your site if you dont heavily promote your site?

Yes, you can find plenty of P4 backlinks yourself if you put your mind to it.

If it's a highly relevant page with low outbound links from a site you would NEVER be able to actually pull in a link from, then I would consider it. But, it would have to be a site that ranks for my primary keywords already.

Be careful though. I would stay far away from site wide links too. Check out paid link guides on TLA and SEOmoz before doing anything rash.

Average price for PR4 link should be $ 25, it could be less and it could be lot more. It all depends on the site and on the person who owns it.

For SEO purposes, you could use that money lot better. For $ 25 you can get quite nice article and with this article you can get lot more PR4 backlinks than just one.

I don't think it's worth the money, guest posts are more valuable and free. Plus there's always blog commenting - get on the top commentator list.
