SEO Reality Check

I want to do a reality check on getting Google Juice from forwarded domains.

Right now I have my domain registrar settings to forward NetworkingSurvey.com into a leaf of the Networking-2020.com site.

I'd like to be increasing the gravity of the latter. Is this the best way to coordinate related domains while increasing readability?

Thanks,
Paul

  • If you do a permanent redirect (301), that tells google you have move the domain. Additionally, you can tell google through webmaster tools through
Site Configuration > Change of Address

    • Useless to forward as you are doing. You get nothing in return.

You need to do it the opposite way, unless it just looks good
      on a business card.

You cannot build authority or PR of a domain that has no
history. Or does not exist on the web.

The only way to increase the "gravity," would be to create a website
with the forwarded domain, build links, build PR, build authority, then
boom...301 redirect it. Using your method to forward a domain is not worth anything.

Except looking better on a business card.
