My blog posts are getting indexed, but my blog page is not

Hey folks,

I've been building a website with a blog since April of this year. I've been noticing that my blog posts get cached and indexed regularly, but my blog page hasn't been cached over a month. Is this something that I should be worried about?

The majority of my blog posts are stories from CNN and other newspapers. I copy the content of the articles, note in the credits where I got the article from, and publish. These articles pertain to my website's theme and purpose also.

Is there anything wrong?

Maybe you should try adding a sticky post to your home page that you have written yourself. Moreover, you might want to submit the page to the major social bookmarking sites, that should get your site indexed within a couple of days.

Since your articles are not fresh , may be Google is filtering them out .

    Thanks,

Google will probably show "ONE" version of the same content in the search result, so you don't have luck...unless your page rank is higher than your article source!
