Google Indexing and DoFollow Links...

I'm still pretty new to the SEO game, but I have a decent understanding of the basic principles. However, I have a question about DoFollow links and Google indexing.

I've created 15 blogs from various sites pointing to my main site. I then created a second Tier of blogs pointing to the first 15. Afterwards, I social bookmarked, RSS Feed, and posted blog comments to the 1st and 2nd Tier sites (keeping them separate). Now here's where I lose track of things. When I look at the backlinks to one of my blogs (using Yahoo), I'll find a blog comment I posted. When I go to the page, it's been indexed by Google with my comment and link (DoFollow). Now what I don't understand is why my blog, which the comment link points to, has not been indexed by Google. It's been days (in some cases over a week) and Google still hasn't indexed it. Am I missing something? I was under the impression that Google would follow the link and index the site, but apparently I'm mistaken. TIA!!!!

Your second tier of blogs is a waste
of time. You'd do better by directly
    linking to your main site.

As for your blog not being indexed,
you need to give it some time. It has
taken me weeks to get pages indexed.

Thanks for the advice Tyrus! I'll concentrate on Tier 1 sites from here on out. Just one question, does it sometimes take you weeks to get your blogs indexed after Google found your DoFollow links, or does it just take that much time since you initially set it up?

Tyrus is rights. Second tier blogs are just waste of time. Instead, focus your attention in building one-way backlinks. It's proven far more effective than linkwheeling.

Ping everything. Record & save all URLs to websites that link to yours.

I started on a new site Sunday (less than a week ago) and went from not having any indexed pages/backlinks, to being indexed with (as of right now according to SEOQuake) 296 backlinks (nofollow & dofollow) just by doing simple stuff like you stated in your OP.

I like to use a little tool called SEO Fast Indexer (not affiliate link) which saves me time b/c it quickly allows me to ping and run thousands of searches for hundreds of URLS at a time... Hence, more visibility = quicker indexing.

I like Pingler.com - good, free pinging & Ping.fm to organize all your social bookmarking sites. Ping your bookmarking site profile URLs whenever you make new posts.

Bu i think Second tier blogs is a good idea. It makes your network something like link wheel. I think if you can manage all of them, its better if you work on Second tier blogs too.

I used to be able to get a blogspot to be indexed in less than a week, now it's taking almost 2 weeks

I think you had messed up everything you could have posted your website link to every blog post instead of blog commenting.

Google supposed to index an entire site at once or does it do so incrementally? My blog (on my own domain) appears to be getting indexed incrementally, to the point where it's taken a month to index all 30+ of my pages. Most of those pages were present before I manually submitted my URL to Google.

This is completely normal. Alot of times the "contact" or "about" page of my websites will get indexed before the index.html (or main domain)!! In due time it all comes together

Use Backlink Energizer or Backlink Index Express to index all of your backlinks. This is the fastest way to get high ranking in Google. Otherwise your backlink is getting wested unless it is indexed in Search Engine.

i think the second tier idea is good. because the other tiers we optimized in search engine will help the main website to gain better rank in search engine.
on the other side, maybe your second tier would has a better index in search engine due to relevant keyword it has,,
