Authority Site - Interlinking Your Pages and Posts

Hey guys,

Does anyone have a system or way that they found to be easier when interlinking your pages and posts of an authority website? I'm going through the task of interlinking by linking keywords to other specific articles within my site, but it is so time consuming. I want to outsource it, but it needs to be done right! Any advice?

  • I'm trying to do something similar. Are you also creating a silo structure where you link from your home page to category pages and then link from your category pages to your posts? I've tried the YARP plugin to link related posts, but it's definitely a pain linking creating contextual links. Definitely interested to hear how others are doing this.

  • For most of my WordPress sites I use a related posts type plugin. This works quite well.

    • I can't decide on whether to do that, or simply link to specific inner pages/posts that I am building links to and trying to rank. Maybe I'll do both, and link to the category pages as well as some specific articles...I assume you are trying the silo structure?

Any in particular you really liked?

  • I use a plugin and pair the keyword with the target page.

There are a few out there. SEO Links was good, but it broke with one of the 3.0 updates. I haven't checked to see if that feature of the plugin has been fixed yet.

I'm using WP Keyword Links now.

I also use YARP and set it to display only the related posts within that category.
