Too Many Backlinks Too Fast? Kinda Worried.

Hello,

I finally finished working on a new site, bought the domain, and uploaded everything to my hosting account on Sunday. Since then I've been working on building some backlinks via blog commenting, article submissions, web 2.0/social bookmarking, directory listing, etc.

Here's my problem... or concern. I commented on a blog post/article that was completely relevant to the content on my site. He accepted the comment (it was was good comment of course) and I got the link from his site pointing back to mine...

It's a PR4 Blog with 3,640 pages indexed by Google. It has been 4 to 5 days since he approved my ONE comment, and I now have over 600 backlinks from his blog (according to Y! Site Explorer). It increases by over 100 a day...

Should I be worried about this?! Lol! In my eyes it's too much. What would you do? Should I do? Help a warrior put his mind at ease!

CHEERS!

    No man, quit worrying about dumb ****. Just keep building, that glitch happens all the time.

    Generally when someone with a Wordpress blog puts your link on the sidebar or "Recent Comments" on the sidebar. This makes the link appear on every page.

    Google has ways to filter these out.

    I think 100 backlinks for a new domain in one day is too much. But don't worry about it, You can see the results some days later.

      Dude the truth is that even if you build 200 links in 1 day, Google isn't going to find them all for weeks unless you bookmark and ping every one.

      I bet you could build 100-200 links in one day and not see them in yahoo site explorer for a full month.

      Less worrying, more action, go go go !

          Hey birdman, could you go troll a different forum?! That would be great!

          CHEERS to your pointless posts!
          I asked for feedback, and I quote "What would you do? Should I do?"

          "Paranoid" (the word or music video) does not come close to respectable feedback. But thanks for the consideration to troll my thread.

            bgmacaw is quite possibly one of the most informed SEO's on this forum.

            His post was sarcastic, but speaks to the truth. SEO stops working when you start over analyzing.

              Agreed. I've read some of his other informative posts - I overreacted. Someone new here looking for some feedback, not sarcasm. You are right though, I've read too much and analyze too much and have heard of too many "myths."

              Thanks Joe

                Sorry. I thought there were too many Googlenoid posts today.

                And your avatar picture made me think of Sabbath for some reason.

            It was a helluva lot better response than most people were thinking - which was ... hey doood ever heard of the god d@!m$ SEARCH FEATURE?

            This query - thread - post has been answered on here like 5000 x - in the last 6 weeks alone. So instead of being rude and uncool - he posted a comedic response.

            Those come out - when folks who've been around see the same tired queries that are readily availed to those who engage the search feature.

        I use SEO Fast Indexer. I record every single URL that I've created a backlink at. I Ping 200 sites and Meta Index every URL to 1000 sites.

        I know not all backlinks are found, that's common sense. I've never had a new website hit 700 backlinks in 5 days.

        Thank you for your comment AFI, I was under the impression of that myth as well

    sorry, what does it mean to "meta index every URL to 1000 sites". Do you think that you back link each of your back links, with 1,000 of back links?

    Have you seen good results with this "SEO Fast Indexer" software?

      I've had very good luck with getting my backlinks indexed quickly with this tool! Links coming from other forums I post in, articles, some blog commenting, etc. - I ping all the URLS and then meta index the URLs with 1000 of these types of sites:

      http://whois.domaintools.com/{0}
      http://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s={0}
      http://www.aboutus.org/{0}
      http://www.quantcast.com/{0}
      http://www.cubestat.com/{0}
      http://www.websiteoutlook.com/{0}
      http://www.statbrain.com/{0}
      http://www.builtwith.com/?{0}
      http://snapshot.compete.com/{0}
      I've got a list of 31,000 but that just seems like overkill. With a little luck and good timing, a Google spider might crawl over one of the "meta indexes" and index that page! The quicker that page gets indexed, the quicker I get my backlink!

      Hopefully this makes sense (and how it all works). This is how I've figured it should work out in my head lol!
