Okay, so I lied - the title got your attention though, didn't it?

I love you guys, I've learned SO much, especially from the senior Warriors- and I don't even hang out at the war room!

I do notice this recurring trend of misinformation though.

I mean, I understand that SEO is constantly changing, and new information tends to superimpose the old. I understand that some may not be aware of the 'new rules'.

But in certain specific cases (and I'm not going to name names), there's been blatant bull***t said. Last night, I came on to see 20+ posts in a row by a single user, answering every question. I couldn't argue some of them, because I'm still learning, but I went through a few that were flat out fabricated, or copy/pasted from an [outdated] Google result.

Should I report this sort of behaviour, give the user a PM or a red card? Or should I just turn a blind eye to it?

I really enjoy this forum and all it teaches me, and I wouldn't mind doing what I can do help out. That being said, I don't like being a moderating nazi.

Hope your not talking about me lol :p

I've been answering heaps of questions today. Got some time on my hands before I see Paranormal Activity II tonight

Regarding SEO, different techniques work for different people depending on their niche and how they go about it.

Stick with tried and true methods such as article marketing, blog commenting, web 2.0 linking, etc. and you can't go wrong.

      PS: WarriorForum Rocks!!

I've been known to be a proponent of idealism and a fan of the controversial at times. If the thread is deemed inappropriate based solely on the cynical nature of the title, so be it. (please don't ban be though, lol)

No You've been very helpful. But I have been seeing a lot of blatant lies out there.
It would be fine if they were placed there with innocent intentions, but in a lot of cases, that clearly isn't what's going on.

If it's flat out copy/paste, then use the report function. The infraction function is relatively useless. I only use it for letting someone know that they should have read the rules before posting an affiliate link in their signature. These really don't mean too much. Reports, on the other hand, bring it to the attention of the mods eventually. Then they can decide on the appropriate course of action.

There isn't any rule against posting 20 things in a row so you can't really say too much about that, unless it's stupid "thanx for the share" one-liners where they just are going for signature exposure.

When they do post something that is definitely untrue, call them out on it in the thread. Even if they're not paying attention, it could help prevent a newbie from being led astray. As long as you're respectful about it, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing or pointing out bad information.

Heyyy! I'm just new here. just registered few minutes ago. I saw your thread and say "WHATTT?" I've heard that WF is so cool and they also have these cool members that's always there to give you a helping hand and then I saw a thread saying that WF sucks.

What a relief. Just an attention grabber. :p
