If when you search your site using,
    Code:
    site:www.yoursite.com
, you get results from Google but your site doesn't rank in Google, it shows that your website doesn't has enough backlinks and you can't compete with your current backlinks for your desired keywords. You should write better content and make quality backlinks for your site to rank higher in Google and then you can see your site for the keywords you want.
Also please note that a very new domain like yours, will not be ranked high in most cases and making backlinks slowly is the best choice for ranking it better.
So don't worry about it and do off-page optimization for your website slowly, then you see improvements on your website's ranking on Google.

    Yes, this is normal.

Google shows your site's URL (for the search string "site:yourdomain.com") simply because your site got indexed in Google.

You'd need to make keyword optimized content for your site and get a couple of QUALITY external links ('backlinks') pointing to it, before you can expect to see your site ranking for your targeted keywords in the 1st page of Google SERPs.

If you want your keywords ranking so target your keyword in title tag.
target keyword in anchor text and in submission with quality content is must.
