Adsense Won't Display On One Particular Site

As some may know, i've been around the adsense block a few times.

I have this domain that just won't display adsense ads for whatever reason. All the topics are G-rated. Good original content (unlike some of my sites:rolleyes. The pages rank well in Google (~50% of them rank on page 1 of Google for their intended keyword). I wanted to get things going on the site with rankings, etc., before adding adsense to it.

Well, now that I've adsense, it just won't show up. We are talking about 14 days now

I've tried everything I can think of. I replaced the code entirely. I've used different dimensions. I've tried putting in the code manually, and i've tried using multiple adsense-centric themes where once you put in your adsense publisher details it auto inserts the adsense.

None of them work. Adsense is still flying and doing better than ever on my other sites.

Anyone encountered this before?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Hi, since you said theme I will presume you're talking blogging.

If so give the adsense integrator plugin a whirl WordPress › AdSense Integrator « WordPress Plugins

It bypasses the themes CSS or PHP and set's it up in a unique way.

I had a theme where for love ner money would not display adsense and I went searching found this plugin and bingo worked like a champ
I hope this works for you.

Is your adsense code showing up when you view source pages from the website in question?

I've run into some problems with certain wordpress themes that would strip code that I inserted into the theme files before.

If the code is showing up when you do a view source then I'm not sure where I would go from there.

Maybe try Wp-Insert. It's a plugin that will allow you to insert your code in a few of the most prominent adsense positions.

It can't be the theme though. I have identical themes on various websites I own, and it is just this one particular site that is causing the issue.

Yea, the adsense is there in the code. If you have SEO Quake turned on, it even spies on the ad blocks like it would in every other circumstance:rolleyes: I've tried WP-insert as well, along with using adsense themes like clickbumps (which I use on my other sites), and a couple of others.

it is like this one particular site is blacklisted or something (although it has awesome Google ranking).

Anyone by chance familiar with this site? Google Adsense Sandbox Preview Tool with Text, Image and Video Ads - Leaderboard, Skyscraper, Rectangle and Square formats

Supposedly if the ads are blank then the site is blacklisted by Adsense. If that's true, I guess the domain is blacklisted :-0 Of course, i've only had the domain for a couple of months but the previous owner had it for 10 years.

I have had domains in the past that were blacklisted. About 3 years ago or so, I had a site that was tagged by the adsense team and I hadn't seen the email in which they gave me a certain amount of time to correct the issue. I did not correct it in time and they disabled ads only on that site, leaving my other 500 or so sites alone.

I think I also remember them saying something along the lines that if they saw it happen again on another site in our account they would consider deleting the entire account. That isn't word for word because that was long ago, but that was the drift of it.

However you are sure about the theme, but i think the problem relates to your theme. I suggest you to change is and see if it works fine with other template or not. Try several themes and see which of them work fine for you. As the reason of this problem is not clear for any one, you don't have any other choice except trying any possible reason. And checking theme is a good one to start with.

      Sigh....

For the 5th time, I know my way around WP themes, and i've been around the block with adsense (just never encountered a situation where one particular site that appears blacklisted by adsense). I can assure it has absolutely nothing to do with the theme.

With the level of experience around here sometimes I know it is easy to assume that when some newbie comes off the street that he can't figure out the basics, but that is not the case here.
