Have I been sandboxed?

I promote a hubpage and a video and for the 2 keywords I was aiming for the video is second for 1 and 6th for the other whereas the hubpage has just gone completely?

Is this sandboxing? I have heard about it but don't really know what it is?

Any advise is good.

    Tom,

    Keep in mind Google will serve up 'personalized' results which tend to make the websites you've already visited rise to the top of the serps. Not saying that is the case here, but you may want to check through a proxy or have a friend in a different area check your keywords.

    I think Google has doing some strange stuff lately. I'm very curious as to what's going on and whether it's temporary or permanent

    Aww... Its not the recent visited or that, I know what you are on about. Its not that. But remember someone saying that sometimes your result can just disseappear for a couple of days.

    You could look back a year ago or two years ago and you'd see people worried about Google changing things for the worse.

    Chances are that your site is jumping around because of some backlinking that you've done recently.

    Did you check it with a rank tracker like Market Samurai and see what the exact position is? It would be interesting to see if you are completely gone within the top 1000 pages or if you dropped somewhere in there.

    Have you tried this?

    Go to google. In the searchbox enter:
    site:hubpages.com/hub/Your-Hubpage-Here
    using the link to your own hubpage of course (no h t t p : / /)

    If you get no results, your hubpage has been deindexed. It may be temporary, it may be permanent.

    If it is deindexed and doesn't come back in a couple of weeks, try making major changes to it so Google sees it as a new page and see if that helps.

    Honestly, not really. Google works in mysterious ways.

    You could try building (more/fresh) backlinks to it. I can't tell you whether it would work or not.
