I have heard lot about Black Hat SEO but I dont know what is the meaning of Black Hat SEO and why it is called. As the terminology seems bad so I also want to know that what is the consequences of Black Hat SEO?

    There are some black hat seo techniques which people use to promote their website, but sometimes it leave negative effective and website is penalized by Google. Some black hat techniques are like hidden text, cloaking etc.

    Black hat SEO is used to get higher search rankings in an unethical manner. Breaking search engines rules,etc.

    If you're good at black hatting, you're probably more capable than 90% of white hat SEO's.
    Just my experience.

    Black hats tend to be programmers that employ risky techniques to cheat their way to the top of SERPs. They're very difficult to deter. They also don't seem to be afraid of attacking your website directly, if you're unfortunate enough to be the only tough competition.

    The term originates from hacking.
    A black hat has malicious intentions.
    A white hat has protective intentions.
