What's your Adsense CTR for micro niche sites?

I'm experiencing something weird here and need some opinions.

I've got number of micro niche product sites. They all use the same layout and adsense units, the thing is that the most of them have average CTR of 1-2% while couple over 10%.
I wanted to see where i stand about that, if its normal (that huge fluctoations with everything the same, just different product)
And of course what's your highest and lowest adsense CTR.
Please post only % when you've got at least 1000 views to calculate from.

    I know the layout and structure of a template promote higher ctr but on the same hand I have several adsense sites and see the same results. Averaging around 10% conversion with some that hit up-wards of 20%. Some days I have even noticed 100% conversions from the traffic on a few of the sites. Just a shot in the dark but maybe these fluctuations also have to do with the target audience?

      those % are from how many hits?

      Cause i've had days with 50% CTR, but out of 10-20 hits for example
      and that very same site has 2% when the numbers accumulate and calculate it out of 1000 pageviews for example

      Btw, you might be just right. The top performing site should be visited mostly by women, since it's about cosmetics! Have to dig further into that

          still much better than me, would you like to discuss it further on IM or email?
          I'm pretty sure i've did layout that should generate high CTR, so i'm not sure what to improve, some side opinion might open my eyes for something obvious i'm missing

          I've got a few that average around 30-40% a month. Most are in the 5-20% range. Daily reports show some with a CTR of 50-100%. Once in awhile I see a site with 200% because it will get 1 impression and 2 clicks.

    8-20% isn't uncommon. A lot of it depends on ad placement and if there are several relevant ads.
