Is Adsense using your search history to show targetted ads

In the past few days, I have been rather surprised by the Adsense Ads shown to me.

I had Ads showing RC model helicopter vendors based in Hong Kong on completely unrelated sites.

These sites had nothing to do with RC model helicopters or anything remoted related .e.g I was shown this ad on news sites such as CNN and dictionary.com

I strongly suspect they are using my search history through the Google toolbar to target ads to me.

Yes they are. They've been doing it for a while now.
You might also want to check out the "Remarketing" feature of Adwords, that will show ads based on sites you have visited.

They use it but not always. I myself saw this problem sometimes but only sometimes not always. I don't know why they use search history for showing ads.
