    That's a broad question - it depends on so many variables.

    How targeted are your keywords?
    How well-written are your articles?
    Are they written for SEO or people?
    What kind of traffic do keywords in your niche get?
    What will you do to "get those articles out there"?

    I'm not an expert, but article marketing done well can certainly be profitable. But so much depends on factors we're not aware of with your goal.

    Working hard and having good luck usually go hand-in-hand.

    Ya, that's pretty much saying something like:

    "I want to get to Illinois in two days. How many times will I have to rotate my tires to make it there?"

    Realize, you can't plan for exact traffic figures thru keyword research. The numbers are not completely accurate.

    Usually articles can't drive good traffic for your website directly. But they can improve your ranking on search engines slowly and then you get traffic from search engines. If you want fast traffic, social networking is a good way for reaching this purpose.

    Even though there isn't a direct answer to your question, I suggest writing as many good articles as you need in order to provide the best information possible about your niche. For some really focused topics, that might only be a handful. For broad topics it could be dozens, hundreds or thousands.

    Write as many quality articles as you can, I usually try to do 1 or 2 per week. Include keywords with anchor text for the keywords you rank the best with.
