What is wrong with my Adsense?

Hi guys... I have a lot of sites, but two in particular get very high daily traffic. I use stat software that gives me up to the minute reporting. In fact, it tracks clicks in real time so when I write a post that I think will get high traffic, I watch it for fun. Anyway, I wrote a post tonight that has gotten over 200 views within about 30 minutes. It is ranking high for all sorts of high traffic terms related to Christmas shopping. However, my Adsense is not showing any increase in clicks or impressions. While I can see a huge traffic surge, Adsense is showing nowhere near that number of impressions and no new clicks in the last hour or so.

I have double checked my page source to be sure my Adsense code is there and correct. I even regenerated the code and replaced it. Can anyone think of anything else that can be wrong? The reason I mention the other site is because both sites use the same theme and have the same Adsense setup, yet the other one (where I have not posted anything today) is getting more clicks tonight than the popular post.

    Is adsense showing related ads?

If not, look at your url's, because unbelievably, Google Adsense uses the key terms in the URL to decide what ads to present on a page.

Also just be aware that adsense reporting can be a few hours late. I am Australian and adsense clicks over to a new day around 7pm local time. I often see "income' for the first 1-2 hours without clicks or impressions.

Your Adsense stats may not have updated as yet. It will also have a lot to do with how related the ads are to your content and where the ads are placed.

If you like, post a link to the actual page here and we can take a look and give you feedback.

The ads are actually very relevant, but now that I look at my Adsense screen I don't see my other sites really updating much either. Also, I notice that sometimes the "bad" Adsense days turn into great Amazon days the next morning. Thanks for the feedback. I just wanted to make sure I was not missing something glaringly obvious. LOL

I had a lot of arguments with my colleague before we finally figured out that there's a lag between AdSense and Analytics stats... I guess the AdSense is lagged with a lot of / all analytics tools.

There is also neither a rule nor a proven system to ensure continuing CTR, so you can never rule out the possibility of an unlucky day - but I'm sure you already know that

My opinion is like powerspike. Adsense statistics updates every some hours and don't expect to see real time statistics from Adsense. I am sure about it.
