High Competition Keywords, Low Competition Ads, No CPA Offers?

Hi guys,
I'm curious about "Watch Movies Online" keyword and typed that on Google Keyword Tool. It gives me stunning number with :
- 2.7 million exact global monthly search
- 823 thousands exact local monthly search
and there are about 135 millions result on google.com for that keyword. Obviously this is a hot niche based on those numbers.

But when I look on the google ads on the search result page I don't see many of them (also using Google Ads Targeting Preview Tool).
- on google.com : I only see Netflix and MoviesCapital.com
- on google.co.uk : I only see LoveFilm, MoviesCapital, and Blinkbox.com
- on google.ca : Only Netflix and MoviesCapital.com
- on google.com.au : No search ads at all
- on google.ie : No search ads at all

So it seems there are no single IM'ers using google adwords to promote any watch movies online related CPA offers from either Clickbank or anywhere else.

With avg CPC at about $0.88, which might be less for countries without ads in this niche, what's the reason of not using google adwords with such low competition ads to promote anything related to "watch movies online"?

Please enlighten me

Thanks

Could be that the keyword is tough to convert (nothing is impossible though). With that said, there is HUGE opportunity in international markets.

You could be right. The international markets are way too quite in google search ads. If we could find just one killer campaign maybe it's gonna bring us huge profits.
But looking on the few advertisers there on US/UK/CA (netflix, moviescapital, lovefilm) their ads don't seem to be attractive though. They don't stress out on the "Watch Movies Online" keyword on their lines. This is what I can see now :

      - Netflix - Movies Online
Unlimited Movies & TV Shows. One low price. No fees. Free Trial.
      Netflix.com is rated
      Rated 4.6 out of 5.0
      Netflix.com

      - LOVEFiLM® DVD Rental
No late fees – you can keep each disc for as long as you need to.
      Lovefilm.com

Still they mention themselves as something that we have to pay. I don't know haven't tried it before but if I'm looking for "watch movies online" ads surely I won't be clicking on them with those ads. I think It'd be interesting if someone is trying to go head to head with these big boys ads and see the results

People looking for "watch movies online" are usually looking for free downloads, which is why that keyword probably won't convert (IMHO). A better KW would be "buy movies online," or maybe even "preview movies online."

Yea.. another thing that's interesting is they never bid on the titles of actual films.

        - Watch Star Trek on Netflix
        Stream Star Trek instantly here.
        No late fees. Free trial!
Netflix: Rent as many movies as you want for only $8.99 a month! Free Trial

        etc.. etc.. etc..

I think the main reason is that Google now pretty much frowns upon affiliate and CPA advertising using PPC, and as a result you won't see many of these types of PPC ads any more going forward. Some people may try to disguise the fact from Google, but this is a huge risk that could conceivably get their accounts banned sooner or later.

Another main reason is: People who are searching for watch movies online are kind of freebie seekers.. who either want to download the movie or watch it online.
