Question for seo gurus?

I need to know what google is doing with my site, I was on page one for a long time, in the top 5.

Then all of a sudden gone off the face of the earth. Then it would come back for a few days then gone again.

I know about google dance, but this has been goung on for about 4 months now, the other day I noticed in my google analyitics that its every 7 days it comes and goes, What the heck is going on?

  • I had the same thing happen to one of mine... it went on for a good 6 months - maybe even more. Then one day it showed up at #1 and has been there for the past 4 months.

    I have no idea why or what is going on, but I hope yours ends up at #1 too!

    • Well last time it showed up as #1 but then gone, and now its back at #3 I hope the roller coaster ends soon.

  • Unfortunately that's just the nature of Google. I have websites that were in in the top 10 of my targeted keyword for years that disappeared and reappeared again.

    Continue adding content to your site and build a few backlinks a week. You should see it bounce back again, but chances are it will continue to bounce around for awhile...
