In short, link building. But it must be done in the right way, and it takes time.

I notice that you have a backlink from a YouTube channel: YouTube - CharlesKing104's Channel. Perhaps that's helping your search results. Strong backlinks work!

I'm really thinking if i should just reveal to you guys the actual work I do. Cos I'm thinking of teaching others how to get rank in Google 1st for mega competitive keywords.

I think it's not just link building work, it's also on site optimization. You may visit my site and you will realize it's a wordpress blog.

Actually, i wonder why Google only detect one backlink now, it actually detected 3 backlinks few days ago, and it will change again.

Yahoo has detected the most backlinks for my site.

Sure, just not here. Try Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum, since you might find this thread moved there because it descended into a discussion of SEO.

As for total disclosure, that might not be a good idea. Other members here are in this niche, and will gladly steal your search results, if you tell them how!

I would say no , my reason is that you have a method that has worked and I would look at maybe doing a WSO for this some people want the fast track and you have have my respect for all your efforts you have put in now go make some $$$ from it and well done

You could give this information away to build a really big list of subscribers, or you could make a ton of cash selling it as a WSO or as a product through your business. Either way, you did something worth sharing and you should benefit from it in one way or another..

Well done, but I wouldn't say the keywords you are ranking for are mega competitive.

My idea of mega competitive is more like "weight loss", "car insurance" etc

"how to get a girlfriend" gets 27,100/month global searches on exact match, competitive but certainly doable.

I do agree though that there is a lot of BS flying around SEO, advising people to go for non competitive keywords - when one can easily rank highly for many decent keywords with some effort and patience.

Would want to agree and disagree with the quoted post, plus want to share some views in general.

Agree: This keyword is simply far below mega-competitive. Nothing to take away from OP - great job, congratulations @OP - but this is low-medium competition in my mind. Try a allintitle - that is one of the best indicators of how difficult it is to rank for the given keyword, though not the only one by any means.

Disagree with below post: I see a lot of people decide the competitiveness of a niche by the number of searches made per month. That has got absolutely nothing to do with how competitive the niche is - it has got to do with how much traffic you can expect to see in the niche. The rationale that I suppose people have is that just because a term is searched more, the competition would be more. While it may hold true to a degree, there is absolutely no guarantee that this assumption will hold and there are tons and tons of example supporting exceptions to this assumption.

Partly agree with Vince, but on the other site the whole idea of forum participation is about sharing, otherwise why would you waste time here? I don't think it's only about your opportunity to paste your link in signature.
So perhaps not all, just tell us if you had to work everyday and really hard to do that, or such results can be attained in more laid-back manner

I realize that whether is the keyword highly competitive in natural search does not depends on the number of searches for the keyword only.

If you want to get high ranking in Google search engine, and you discover there are over 60 million search results in Google search engine, you are competing with over 60 websites to get ranking in Google.

The number of searches decreases when the keyword is more targeted.

Wanna share a few things I discovered:
1) Even though Google only accept one backlink, and that backlink does not have the anchor text for the keywords that are rank in Google 1st page.

2) Even if the website has more backlinks detected by Google, it is below me in Googel ranking.

3) I believe onsite optimization will impact Google ranking.

4) Actually my keywords are ranked better in Google than Yahoo, even though Yahoo has detected over 300 backlinks for my site.

5) It requires time for my site to get into Google 1st page. I believe Google wants to monitor the links I have: is it permanent or temporary.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Slow and steady wins the race. That is the trick, most people are impatient and want overnight results. That is why so many people are trying to automate which = bad in my book.

If you are patient you can surely reap the benefit of your hard seo work.
