Okay, I have had enough!! I am bursting...

I left Adwords for 2 years and a few weeks ago, I'm into it again to test out an affiliate product conversion coz I needed a quick stats.

You got to believe me that if you can get your Adwords ads running and know what you're doing with all their new great features like below, it's almost a guaranteed way to make some moolah:

  • you can choose which website to show your ads
  • you can choose the devices (mobile etc.)
  • you can have demographics bidding
  • you can even have ads extension..
  • and a lot more...
These are all great new features they now offer.

However, they are getting insane in approving ads. My ads has not been approved till date (after 3 weeks) despite many changes that I have made to abide to their so called "site policy".

And worse, I cannot get Google team to help me. I've submitted my ticket but am not getting reply.

But to my surprise.. this is not only happening to me..

Just have a look at all these desperate people...

Ad Approvals & Policy - AdWords Help

Huh...

I feel better now. Is this a rant? Well, well.. perhaps PPC is just not for me.

P.S. My ads were disapproved due to site policy.

The problem with adwords for all but the most careful of people is that you are never fully in control.

This is particularly in regards to the projected cost per click versus what you actually pay. These figures are severely massaged over and over again to benefit the big G.

Only very careful marketers can learn to play the game to their benefit. Other mere mortals have to hope for the best and a bit of luck in staying under the radar when they find a profitable keyword.

Adwords has definitely lost their way. I don't work there, but I can only believe that they are losing accounts hand over fist right now. For one, they probably have too many people tweaking their algorithm - which has become a complete failure on the adwords side. It's another case of "too many cooks spoil the broth" kind of thing.

You can still make good money, but they've no longer made it easy at all. It has gone from an extreme science, to lucky medicine man stuff. You set up your campaign, say a few incantations, and hope that the Google Gods are nice to you for a few days.

I was at one time spending close to a million dollars a year there, but now they're lucky if they get $5k from me in a year. Someone over there is really pissing in the broth.

    - Which is why Facebook can come along and do so well.

It's always good to get things off your chest. I'm also feed up with waiting for a reply from my live chat software provider!

I've never personally used AdWords before but I certainly know where you're coming from when it comes to support. It's basically non-existent at Google but I guess that's due to their size.

I hope your ad gets approved soon so you can test out the new tools they have to offer.
