I don't know much about $$$ per click, but one of the only adsense
alternatives I've seen is chitika. Even though "adsense alternative"
might be an oxymoron. There are alternatives, but certainly not to adsense.

I've heard Infolinks has a good payout and good CTR and you can combine it with Adsense.

I have testes Adbrite and Bidvertiser and they can make good money for you if your website has a lot of traffic. And in other cases, you will not earn good money from them.
