hey people. I've been building an affiliate website in wordpress, and I scheduled the posts and all that, and my site wasn't ranking, and I just found out that my all in one seo pack was disabled.

I built a lot of backlinks to it too, before I enabled the plugin. Will my site still rank for my keywords even if I activated the plugin just now?

thanks =)

    Based on your off page optimization efforts (assuming your backlink anchor text is related to your keywords), yes.

    Of course, another major player is whether or not you did anything to optimize your site on-page (domain, headers, bold text, cross-links, etc), before installing the extension.

    You'll need to go back through the posts you've already put up there and add the Titles, Descriptions and Keywords in the AIOSEO fields.

    Once you've done that then all your old posts will be optimised. You'll also need to complete those fields for all future posts.

    You should also review the plugin settings and make sure you're happy with them. I wrote an article a while ago on how to configure the AIOSEO - you can find it here:

      Cheers,

      Martin.
      Great advice from Martin.

      Also, just remember that you need to do a lot of offpage optimization to be able to rank for your keywords (unless they are extremely low competition KWs).

      Don't make the mistake of thinking All-In-One-SEO-Pack will give you great rankings without doing any backlinking.

      Cheers,
      Dave
