Which source of image is better for site loading

hi,
i'v a ecommerce website that is affiliates and all images i'm extracting from merchant site. so, my query is that which method is better to store all images in my own server or take all from merchant link so that site loading time is less.

    It depends..

    If merchant site has high throughput and if you are relatively close, then I would take images from there. Another benefit of this approach is that you don't need to worry about updating images if they are changed on merchant's site.

    Anyways, you should make tests.
