Google doesn't like the website or what ?

To one of my client, Google is not coming back to crawl the site. It has been more than 2 weeks when Google visited his website.

I think I know the reason, the website owner didn't spent too much time updating the content and maybe, for this reason Google is not quite interested to show up soon.

However, my question is:

Is anything that you suggest that I should to , beside adding, updating content to the website ?

Thanks in advance .

    • Get backlinks and have patience. I had the same problem, and Google eventually crawled the site.

  • I write articles, submit them to sites like EZA and link back to my website. That usually gives it some juice.
  • Have you submitted the site to Google Webmaster Tools? If not just go to Google and type in Webmaster Tools, it should be your first search result.

Click on that and create a free account, then submit the site and see if Google is having any errors with the site.

I would recommend submitting both the www and non www - version and then tell Goolge to make one your preferred domain, as well.

    • Hi mike-seo,

There is no need for Google to crawl a website until there is a new or updated page. After you add or update a page, ping it with Ping-o-Matic! This will often send the bots around to see what's new.
