Majestic SEO: Anyone use it?

I admit it: I'm a Spyglass addict.

In just seconds, Spyglass returns up to 1100 backlinks to any site, chock-full of juicy information like PR, Anchor Text, Do/Nofollow, IP Address, etc. etc. But here's my problem: sometimes 1100 backlinks just isn't enough.

Enter Majestic SEO.

Anyone have any experience with it? What features does it offer that Spyglass doesn't? It's a monthly subscription, so the program can be quite pricey, so I don't want to buy it if the features are nothing special.

Anyone familiar?

EDIT: Same goes for SEOMoz's Open Site Explorer. Any subscribers?

    Hiya,

I am the Marketing Director at Majestic SEO - so I thought I would answer. Albeit late to the party!

The biggest advantage of Majestic is its size of database. We have know of over 3 trillion urls. But you can register and see your own sites for free.

    Dixon.

Best link checking software on the market bar none, just very pricey for an independent affiliate

I have used it before for the massive backlink reports they do. I find it very useful as if a website has 10k links pointed at it then getting 1k link reports is not always useful.

I signed up to Majestic SEO recently.

What convinced me is their new Clique Hunter.

This is the first co-link finding tool I really like.

You can put in a number of sites and it will return the domains that link to multiple of these sites. I have sort of based a lot of my link building around this concept in the past, using my own databases and SEO Spyglass data, but this one seems to make the process a lot easier and can dig a bit deeper into the backlink structures I think.

Also, I have heard rumors that Yahoo are removing their api for getting backlink data? This could change the usefulness of tools such as SEO Spyglass and create more demand for services like majestic SEO that crawl the web for their own link data.

Just to clarify - MajesticSEO is free to use for your own sites.

I love their tools. The backlink discovery graph is great, it let's me gauge how I'm doing as far as backlinks. As Yahoo-API dies. This will over take SEO spyglass. Spyglass also takes hours to analyze me competitors because I tackle hard niches.
