I have been starting to get into extremly micro niches that generally no one delves into. These niches only get around 300-500 exact searches a month for my primary keywords. I would absolutley say no its not worth it if there was not a catch but there is. These niches all have search resuls with 0 page link competitors, and the niches offer amazon products. sure I might only get 4000 visitors a year and at a 1% conversion rate maybe only 40 buyers, but the niches do get stable traffic. I simply social bookmarked my website with the keyword in my domain and walah 12hours later I'm rank 14 on the results. I can easly take #1. One worry I do have is shopping results is ranking above all the competitors, how difficult is it to pass up google shopping results in the serps? And overal is it worth it for a new imer?
#micro #niche #worth

from what i hear, niche stuff is where it's at. if you can create sites in a variety of niches and get good rankings for each, you can create a stream of multiple income sources AND dominate the rankings with relative ease.

this is all hearsay however, i have never attempted to dominate a niche

I am involved in 2 niches like this and they are very reliable in terms of sales. Sure you need quite a few to make a living but they work well.

Just keep them to yourself - Don't share these niches

my question is, is it worth it when it comes to only getting 400 or so visitors a month? i know some niche related websites are getting 4000 with easy to rank for keywords, these keywords im ranking for are literally social bookmark and 5 or so back links and im #1, so i can easily manage im guessing upwards of 500 of these as it takes 1 day to put them together. 1 day to me = 4 hours because i am still in highschool, i dont have much time. Christmas break is coming up so im hoping to bring up about 30 websites during the 2 week break.

The only one that can really answer that questions is you. To some people it may be worth it, to others its not. It all depends on how much time, effort and resources you are willing to put in for $blah of earnings.

The best way for you to figure this out is to set a goal of how much you want to earn for your efforts. This can be on a site-to-site basis or even a monthly basis. Then put up a few of these sites and check your sales figures. If YOU are satisfied with the results keep pushing it otherwise go for more profitable keywords.

They All Told Me Making Money Online Was Just A Scam For The Gullible... Even Though I Was Already Pulling In $1k/Day. Now You Say My Resellers Can Not Make $1k/day But...

That's my goal to start with the small sites, simply because. Am impatient, I want to develop several sites that I see instand serp results from so that when I do try to tackle more comptitive keywords I don't get frustrated.

My ecommerce site was www.look4vgames.com on one of my pages about the war ps3 vs xbox 360 I used ps3 or xbox 360 as a keyword and backlinked the hell out of it because i didn't really know 122,000,000 search results was a lot :0. It got 100,000 searches amonth and after 2 months with 0 pr and tons of backlinking I was position 2, 2 days later I cancled the site. I wish I woulda kept it I could have changed it into an autoblog of some sort and adsensed the **** out of it with the 20k to 30k visitors I would have gotten

I'm not sure how others do it but I have a generic domain for these types of phrases.

I'll just use genericadomainname.com/micronichekeyword for the site.

While you lose the exact match domain advantage, typically with so little competition you don't need it to rank well.

This way you can test out hundreds of these and only have to buy one domain. If something does end up selling well, you could always go back and try to buy up one of the exact match domains.

This is a very good strategy. Often over time those niches will either die down or get busier. Your site stands a great chance over other website when the niche gets busier so you have the potential to make a lot of money over time.

    Hey Look4VGames,

I've been doing this for a few years now and this is the best advice I can give you. Do you keyword research, do your competition analysis, bla bla bla. Buy exact match domain names to rank quickly. Do this until you can't afford any more domain names. After a year, because this is when you have to renew your domains, if the amount of money you made is more than the cost of the domain, renew it. If not, dump it. Rinse and repeat until you have hundreds of Web sites that are all making you more than what you pay for them.

"How many times you can spend a dollar to make two dollars"? That's micro niche sites

    Hope this helps.

Yes, that is my goal. my first website i started was essentially a 3000 page e commerce store and Seo was IMPOSSIBLE to maintain although i did get 10,000 views a month from random keywords i got 0 conversions because keywords were crap. So i want to go the opposite way to SEO i can maintain and research. May i ask how many average searches do your sites get a month?

Really? I love Ecommerce, or being an affiliate for physical products. Where you in some type of Electronics store or something?

Anyway, my sites vary between 5,000 visitors a month to 30 visitors a month, depending on the niche. Typically, I just set up a exact match domain, post about 5 or 6 product reviews that are easy to rank and let is sit for about a month. I'll then go back and add a few backlinks if I need to. Typically, most of them get ranked without any backlinks, I just use backlinks for a little more juice and Google love.

The key is to spend, spend, spend....see which ones are making money....and then drop or sell the ones that are not. Rinse and repeat until satisfied. The hardest part is spending the money upfront, but that's the name of the game!

P.S. You can always go for high priced items in micro micro niche sites. More payout, less buyers needed to satisfy your $ goals.

Yea the niche was in electronics market, this was before i did any niche research or even knew how to do it, and it was a video game online retail shop. Not only did i not realize, that 99% of video game stores fail due to low ROI's (you make about $2-3 on a new game because wholesale prices are around $55 for a $60 new game), and gamestop rapes the serps.

Thanks for the info on the search traffic aswell

Yeah, no problem! That's interesting, I never knew that. If you ever go Ecommerce again, just think of stuff people break or need replacement parts for. If they need it, they will buy it.

    Good Luck!

Yes, dealing in very small micro niches can work. The trick to being successful with this strategy is VOLUME. You need dozens of these little sites to build a sizable income. But, to answer your question, Yes it can & does work.

    Good Luck!

I've never gotten into it heavily, but I definitely believe in the power of "micro micro" niches. My main money site only get 690 searches a month, and a #1 ranking for that keyword pays my living expenses.

Making money online is much more about being #1 for a keyword than choosing the best keyword in the world.

Agreed - did you find a very high paying keyword, or is it something expensive on Amazon, or a good converting Clickbank product? Inquiring minds want to know!

lets hope to god its not a clickbank product, im tired of there shaving. Going from $100 a day to $0 for several days then back to $100 a day.. they make it to obvious. especially when you open a brand new account and conversions begin to happen again.

        No problem.

A $37 eBook. Sell one of those a day and you got rent.

Yes, it's worth it. Your conversion rates, via Amazon, are likely to be much higher than 1%.
