I'm very good w/ SEO and Adwords - however, I stink with web design. I know HTML and CSS and have helped clients over the last two years w/ SEO - however, I want to venture off into IM for myself.

Since I'm pretty bad w/ design - would you guys recommend WP or something else?

defiantly, there are so many different themes to chose from that are free, or you can purchase some completely professional and unique themes for penny's on the dollar.

Yes, WP really is the way to go these days. It even contains a HTML theme editor within the dashboard so you can make tweeks to themes you like to make it completely unique.

You set up how posts, pages, etc are displayed so adding new ones couldn't be easier in the simple WYSIWYG/HTML editor and clicking publish.

You can add various widgets in the sidebars and even download some if you need something unique.

You can search and download plugins for everything you need on your website and on your dashboard.

The beauty of WP is that it is all open source and free. There is a plethora of wordpress information on the internet and it is extremely user friendly but can be as technical or involved as you like it to be.

    Best thing since Google

WP is awesome. There are many high quality themes you can find for free on the internet. You don't need a shred of design skill to make awesome web pages with it.

And of course, their plugins help a lot with SEO and other things as well.

A word of caution though; plugins can slow down your WP installation, and they can open up potential security risks on your blog. So make sure to secure your WP installation.
