What it says in the title?

I am sitting on page 1 of google.com and ranking on page 13 on google.co.uk? do i need .co.uk links to start ranking high in google.co.uk?

    It is not totally nessecary but I think it does help.

    It's like having or not having a keyword in your domain, it does help but you can still rank well without it.

    It's definitely a plus to have the .co.uk if you are targeting the UK. That gives Google more info as to where you are targeting and that goes into the equation of determining where you should rank. I would definitely consider buying it and mirroring your current domain if that's what you are trying to accomplish.

    If u targeting the uk market then u must go on. Otherwise for global market it is not at all necessary.

    Local links (.co.uk) is going to help in achieving high ranking for google.co.uk. Plus it would a benefit if you get .com links also.

    Think of a simple case, for "Taxi hire London" google.co.uk will give you results which are more local & relevant (i.e London/UK based).

    Now, what I would advice you strongly is to submit your website to local classified dir (yellowpages etc). Secondly & more importantly, try to give a single "business name" , "business address" & "phone number".

    Not required. You can set your target geographical location in Google Webmaster Central for any domain name. Let it be .com or .net or any other it doesn't matter.
