Sell it all and start over?

Hi everyone,

I'm excited for the new year. I want to start the new year with a new business plan. To fund this I'm considering selling all my sites on my server (transfer the whole server to the new owner).

My sites are mainly adsense sites with a few affiliate / amazon sites (about 20 sites).

My adsense income average over the last 6 months averages $285 / month and my Amazon income is around $15 / month.

I'm considering selling everything on my server to get the funds to build / outsource building 10 sites a month for my new business plan. I expecting to get about 12 months income for the whole works or about $3600.

Just wondering what you guys thought about this plan or if you have any advice about this idea.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Jason

The course "Auto Content Cash" lays out a strategy for generating a stable of nearly self running sites that each bring in moderate revenues, besides the auto blogging techniques he talks in some detail regarding income generation, his starting point was to buy established sites on ebay, etc, or find domains indeed in the Yahoo directory in order to leapfrog the brand new site launch issues. He uses moderate automation schemes, including a yahoo answers plugin.

If selling in bulk, potential buyers may seek a discount. Maybe you should sell them individually but it will take more time on your part.

As much as I am all for auto blogging and automation in general I would suggest everyone stay away from Auto Content Cash.

I think the basic principles of the course and business model are decent and I know people who have had success with something similar (a different approach to auto blogging) but the overall support structure for the course and the plugins he suggests using are far from adequate. In fact the main plugin he had built for it never seemed to work properly and a lot of the supposed results hinged on it. In the end the site was pretty much abandoned. I'm just trying to help others avoid the same mistake that 2000+ people who bought that course made.

Do a search for it in the review forum to learn more.

Good luck your your IM plan OP!

    Hi,

I think that two factors to consider in this are:

    1. How passive are the sites at the moment.
    2. How long do you expect their revenue to continue for.

I guess point 2 will in a large part depend on the quality of the sites and how clean the backlink profiles are.

If there sites were fairly passive, and you expected them to have a long life, you would be selling an asset that is probably returning close to 100% p/a.

Even if you put the $3600 on a credit card, your still only looking at maybe 20% p/a.

I always think the sort of typical x months revenue figures for passive long lasting sites is really small by any other investment valuation metric, and only makes sense when you are giving a site a short expected life span.

Having said that, if you do end up listing the sites somewhere, feel free to drop me a pm with url of the sales listing.

There is so many things that have to be consider before selling all your sites and start over again. It must be planned according to the possibilities that may occur.
