My site is about 10 days old. I am using 3 way links to build backlinks just to get started. If I look at my account they say I have 29 links live (which I can see if I go to these sites) linking back to me. However when I run a tool like Market Samurai, it only shows 8 (all of which I have built myself through ezinearticles, hubpages etc.)

So my question is do you know why Market Samurai or SEO toolbar only show 8 links when in reality I have about 35? Is this just a case that the other sites linking back to me haven't been indexed recently and I need to be patient? Thanks in advance

For those of you who have been following my thread, you will know how easy it is to get first page Google ranking by just following the strategy in this thread.

I'm on the first page at google but I've been stuck at #9 for ages for multiple search terms.

I've done a few campaigns that involve high PR links with a link pyramid behind each link, I've done a few articles, spun, submitted, pinged and crawled. I used a few services to spin and submit and I've double checked the reports and I have a few thousand. I've been posting to the blog on my site at least once a week so it's updated with fresh content. I've done a couple of mass submitters but not too much (a few thousand on drip feed.) I did a squidoo lens (which became a top ranking lens but I have yet to see any traffic to my site from it). I've gotten 200 .edu links, and I've done daily social bookmark submissions with socialmonkee and weekly submissions with onlywire. I've really tried to diversify with some angela/paul links, too.

My site is not moving. I've checked the backlink volume of the people above me and they are definitely doing more backlinking than I am (but not by much). I've definitely noticed that quality over quantity helped me get to where I am now, but that strategy isn't helping me move up anymore. I'm scared to post my site here because I don't want my competitors to know. The keyword is medium competitive. All the companies that are actively doing SEO work are on the front page (except for amazon and wikipedia. still under them).

What should I focus on next or focus on the most? what should I be doing more of?
I'm sort of in a spot where I'm not sure whats helping and whats not. I'm toying with the idea of doing some mass backlink submissions (maybe from a WSO) but I'm scared about getting sandboxes or invoking the wrathful google de-indexing gods.

I'm very open to suggestion.
