Lose fat shows 500k monthly searches as broad then once you do "exact" its 5k monthly

I want to know what the heck ... what is the real traffic is there 500k or 5k when the keyword is lose fat an is that what users are typing on the other end or is google just showing everything like

lose fat today
lose fat real fast
lose fat in just one week
lose fat this very freaken day

an adds even those pieces of the KW which equal the 500k

I am working on a keyword an its not lose fat thats only an example but this is giving me a headache what is it worth are people really typing "lose fat" or is google adding all the lose fat (long tail keywords)

Please help me out i feel like i have wasted time now...

Use keyword discovery for better result, this tool gives you almost the exact searches.....

However, you can increase traffic by using other methods of promotion as well, forums are also good place for increasing traffic.

Anyone Can help here not looking for an exact search program or software just looking to see what is it that has the traffic the broad or the exact on google.

Ex. When typing in "Lose Fat"

To tap into the 500k monthly google is showing what do you need just to rank for Exactly Lose Fat or a ton of long tails

or is that 500k monthly a combination of all the long tail keywords an exacts together.

Broad is a combination of every search term that includes the term "lose fat" where as exact is just for the term itself, so the term "lose fat" gets 5000 searches a month.

So how do you then tap into the 500k a monthly do you have to rank for many keywords then or naturally it happens?

You wouldn't be able to get all that 500k, just bits and pieces of it, 5k for example if you managed to rank for "lose fat"

Exact match is closer. Always go by those numbers when it comes to estimating traffic.

i do not think these keywords will get you good traffic. hence you can check with google adword tool to check exact search volume for these keywords as per specific countries..

You have to research all the broad lose fat terms and see which ones you would be able to rank for, I'd imagine some of them you would have no chance to rank for while other obscure terms would be easy to rank for.

Broad results is not trusted and you should only note to the exact number of searches. Also i suggest to work on the same keyword you searched and eliminating some words of this term, makes it more difficult to rank high for and by doing it, you can't rank high for it probably.

Broad is a different match type. That data is being pulled from AdWords. Focus on using exact match. I explain all this in my book. As I got confused with it years ago as well.
