Desperate. help needed....

Hello, new guy here. registered here since i've become desperate. I'd appreciate some help from pros here.

The thing is that we run a small news website. The boss doesnt care that much (since he got 3 more websites that are developed and so on), and our website is...well...close to nothing.

He does not give money to developing it, i mean nothing. I decided to do something myself (spent 2-3 weeks on reading stuff about SEO, organic-paid traffic, cpm, cpv, etc). And since I dont have that much of a budget, i still need to get the website up somehow.

So, the question to you all, my budget is quite low (about 80 usd per month off my own salary), and i need to boost up the website's ratings. I was thinking about just cheap paid traffic, since we do not sell anything, we could settle for visitors only. I've also organized couple of facebook ads for our page.

As of now, we got like 2 000 unigs per day, and i need to get that number up.

Maybe anyone can recommend some good cheap traffic selling websites? Or SEO strategies that can be useful?

  • If you are just looking for visitors there are plenty of cpv/ppv sites available. Read up a little on the topic here and see what other users have to say.

    With SEO get on over the the Google Webmaster Central blog. They've got an SEO starter kits and tons of other stuff to learn the basics. Its really the only place you should ever consider getting basic SEO knowledge from.

    Also, why exactly do you care so much if your boss doesn't? I really don't get why you are spending your own money to advertise a site that isn't even yours.

    Well, since this is how it works here. I mean i am not spending that much, considering the salary i am getting. Yet, i do understand that for this website, getting organic traffic is tough, since our content is quite weak. So the only possible way out (as i see it) is:

    1 - simply buying some cheap traffic (for the numbers)
    2 - get seo listed, directory listed, social bookmarking
    3 - advertise on linkedin or facebook.

    Maybe i am wrong. I dont know. AS far as spending own money goes - if i manage to somehow pull this website up, the boss will definately see it and do smth about it. until then, its so dead.

    Any real, not scam, websites that sell cheap visitor traffic?
