    It usually uses for optimizing websites for search engines and it has a little effect on ranking your website better in search engines. But i myself think its not very important and you can make your pages without it. But if you can, use them in your pages for optimizing them better.

    They are a much smaller part of the search engine algorithms now than they used to be. One important part though that you must consider is what you want people to see when they see your listing come up in Google. Most people will scan through the results when they are searching for something on Google and the site that has the best description will most often be the one that gets the click though. You can control what people see by writing a good short description and use that in your meta-description tag. One trick I use to make my keyword standout a little more when people are Googling is to use all caps. For example: DOG TRAINING: Learn my ONE secret that I used to get my dog to stop peeing on the carpet! .....So someone searching for Dog Training...my listing should stand out better because of the all caps in my keyword.
