why does Google show only 4 results insetad of 10?

    I have seen Google do that with local results (although rare) usually it is 1,3,5,7 box with some or no organic listings depending on the niche. Ultimately, all it is is Google trying to provide you the most relevant content it has available. Sometimes that is all that it has in a particular niche. I have seen it happen many times.

    I typed in affordable roofing company and instead of 10 results I only got 4 come up.

    Usually I get the normal 10 results but I've noticed only 4 results come up quite a lot lately.

    had the same problem a few times , refreshed and everything went normal . A few months ago , google tried to show 100 results , glad they only have 10 now

    Same thing happened to me too, I think there's a glitch in Google's software at the moment.

      You can't get blood out of a turnip!

      I know there was a game around 2001 or so, where you tried to
      do a search and get only 1 result on google. (quotes is cheating)
      It had a special name. Can't remember the name.

      Okay. Enough jokes. Can't you tweak a search to show less than 10 results?
      I know you can do this when searching from google from a webpage, not
      the google page. Can't they program it this way? If the search was made
      from google, then it could be some type of server issue.

        How about this. They show 4 because there's only 4.
