2.) Get .tld of target country
4.) Host website in target country
5.) Determine target country based keywords

One more thing, use the language of the country.
For example specialisation (UK) vs. specialization (US).

Also include the name of country in your site's homepage meta description.
For example, "Work from Home Opportunity in Paris, France".

Interesting. I have to do this after having the keywords on the particular country. We know that we can get different amount of keyword searches on different countries. But I will add your suggestion on my detailed plan.

Hey. I would recommend you getting a tld of the country itself. Google gives high priority for country specific domains in its local SE...

get backlinks in that country like social backlinks look for some in germany google can help you find some google is getting smarter every year you have to do every backlinks from that country so google indexed your site for that country your hosting has to be from germany you website has to have a .de at the end to get high ranked for germany.

Have you change the Geographic target of your website as Germany in Google Webmasters tool? Although you need not to do this if you have country specific tld for Germany, but if it is not this is the first thing you must do. Taking some good backlinks from Germany based website will boost its ranking in Germany provided you have all your On-Page SEO correct.

Webhosting don't determine geolocation at all! as you already know internet haven't got boundaries...

1st you need links from country domain zone: co.uk, .in, .au, .ie, .hk and so on... When you will have enough links site will appear in specific country serps.

Some of my sites (tld com,org) ranking well for long tail keywords in US. They are hosted in US and have backlinks only from english speaking sites.

The strange thing is that they are ranking even better in my country (Greece). Most of them ranking in first page even for difficult one word keywords (in the local g00gle).

I have not tried any from above tips

1. International TLD
2. Not mention country in webmaster tools
3. Not in meta description
4. Not having backlinks from a .gr site
5. Don't even have a second language, neither g00gle translate
I was targeting US in the first place.

The only thing that g00gle know, is that I login from an IP in Greece to my sites AND that in most of my profile links I filled my country as Greece

Can you explain that?

I'm not trying to say that the tips above are not working, I'm just telling you my experience.

If you really have interest in other countries or your content is targeted to those countries, you can point your site to that country. This can be done through the Google webmaster tool. Another idea is to submit your site to local search engines.

You should also have country relevant address for the country you are trying to rank, i.e. contact information such as a mailing address on the site. Google is pretty smart and knows which country your site is relevant to.

There is a video tutorial in youtube.

But I forget what keyword that was.

What he did he was inserting a list of link of different states below on his website.

Then he try to create or generate sitemap so that search engine will eat up all the text base links. That way his website will be found in different states.

Those are just some tips and idea. I forgot or maybe he is using a software coffee cups.

I had downloaded the video right into my ipod but how I wish I could share the link directly from youtube but sorry I've forgot that link.

If someone want to rank high in other country, it's really necessary to optimize site for local search engine for that country by getting good quality links from that country's hosted site like if one wants to rank high in UK, it's essential to get backlinks from .co.uk. And so on.

Start gathering quality links form different domains of different countries. Definitely your keyword will get boost. But before you start getting link you need check the search volume of keywords. According to search volume do the link building.
