I've read on other threads that Google did change something recently. Two of my affiliate mini-sites that were on google page 1 for their keywords, have completely disappeared the last few weeks. I was using Angela's Forum signatures for backlinks so maybe I screwed myself by not diversifying my backlinks. I'm now writing articles and adding web 2.0 backlinks to see if that helps my sites. Is anybody else having issues with sites predominantly SEO'd using Forum signatures?

Same here... Nothing has changed on my sites except for adding content to the sites, new articles on Ezine and new forum posts and we've dropped from page 1 to page 2 and some links now on page 3.

Today is the first day in two weeks we've seen growth by 1 or 2 spots. Very weird.

There had been such speculations that Google did some slight changes in their algos. But it seems the impact is barely felt.

To obtain more traffic you can try social networking sites like facebook and twitter just join in the community and groups.

I did experience a huge drop in rankings on 80% of minisites I own on october 30th or so, most of which had forum profile backlinks quasi exclusively. I don't know whether this is a factor for this drop, but recently, most forum scripts were updated to prevent forum profiles from being visible to non logged in viewers. Would anyone know whether this affects google bots' crawling on forums or not?

yep Google kick off our main site witch was page 1 now don't know where. Most of my backlinks comes from you name it (famous WSO people for backlinks) and sites you name it too (..rumer)that create baclink profile...
I have a clue on the algo. Looks like all backlinks coming from forums and comments are treated like spam now. So backlink from forums is no more valuable (IMO).
What they track now is backlink from website related to your site and must be aged and already on top with real contents.
Is this the end of Forum backlinks like many WSO offers and website that automaticly create forum profil with backlink and post all over the web? YES!

Don't cheat now, just do natural linking like old time, ask website owner to link exchange or link to your site. LOL I have to re-install my old software that I use 5 years ago like Webceo and Seoelite just to name some!
