So i am develpoing my first nice site/blog and I am using the free flexibility theme (which I love btw) I wanted to try and put some adsense on it using the theme options. I put in my pub id where it says and enabled the ad placements i want but when i reload the page i d not see any ads populating the ad spaces?

did i do something wrong? Does it take time for google to populate the ads once you ad your id to a new site?

Also I signed up to adsense through hubpages to link my hubpage account to it, does that make a difference?

Usually, it does. Also, do you have any content on that site? Don't forget, those ads are "contextual" - meaning what is shown based on your content...

As long as you have an adsense account with a pub id, it doesn't matter how you got it.

Those automatic placements in themes use some kind of a token system and this relies on a little bit of code working properly. It might be the issue that the code is not working, but it might just be that you need to wait a little bit. Shouldn't be toomuch more than a couple of hours at best as long as you have some content on your pages.

thanks for the replies, content is a check. There are only 4 blog posts so far though but they are each good length. I wasn't planning on adding ads until i filled out the site more but i figured why wait?

mayb i will wait until later in the week when i have a few more posts.
