Have a look at Lisa Parmerlys InlineSEO website, she had a great system for that exact thing!

Try create more contents. You can target 1 keyword per articles. So the more you write, the more keywords you can target.

Look into latent semantic indexing and themed articles and you will find the real secret as to how to get more traffic to your pages. A well themed article should include many related keywords that is well written and written for a human rather than the Google bots.

If you want more visitors to your websites you should no doubt include many keywords. That's really what Google wants anyways, more quality unique content relating to your niche. If you theme your articles you will find your websites getting traffic from random search queries that you wouldn't get by only writing around 1 keyword.

I usually do that with my blogs. I aim a 2-3 word phrase with them and with every new post i'm aiming something less searched

It is important to remember that Google do not rank websites but webpages, so by adding more pages with good content (and backlinks), you will be able to target lots of additional keywords.

You definatly can do that just add categories if its a CMS and make sub links to those pages with the relevant theme.
