Quick SEO question

Hi,

All my sites have seemed to lost their rankings. I had several on page 1 I know Google has made some changes recently, could thsi be the reason for me losing all my rankings?

The other side of this question is that I am worried that I may have done something to cause this and was wondering if I should start fresh with a new hosting account, etc

  • It will be really hard for us to find out what happened to your sites unless you tell us what the sites are and what did you do recently (link building, maintenance, etc...) on these sites.

    It is really odd though...that all your sites dropped from page 1...maybe you have done something that they don't like.

    Give it some time...a week or two and if it doesn't bounce back...then you have done something wrong.
  • I heard some rumors of google changing up some of their "valuation" algorithms. Catching onto linkbuilding and backlink spamming.

    They have admitted publically that some SEO companies "know our secrets very well".

  • yeah it would be too hard to say anything without looking at your site. You try to evaluate your self if any changs you made recently would have impacted the rankings.
  • Did yo add duplicate content to your website or made backlinks for it from low quality sites recently?
  • give your website url. previous rank position. now what is the position. then many experts will answer you clearly
  • It's not so easy to tell what happened exactly but if a site is being crawled regularly but its pr not increasing, it could be guessed that search engine has noticed something on the site that to it is spam or black-hat which search engine doesn't like. So whatever one do, he/she should be careful not to do certain things which to search engine is spam.
