You can start by the obvious ones:

Social Marketing - create one account for your site at every major social network, place your link in profile and promote all the site URL's in these networks.

Create a Youtube channel, place your link in profile and promote other site URL's in different videos.

You can also do a search inside the forums for others techniques, but i'd start by the basics, really.

  Look for website valuation sites - some are listed on megafoo.com and then insert your site into each one -- it should generate very quickly backlinks to help your site get indexed by google. I am currently shopping around for a wholesale backlink supplier for a backlink service site (I'm currently negotiating to buy a second site) I just bought and can give you better info once I find the right supplier.

You can do the following:

First go to Pingler and ping your url if you're not indexed yet.

Then ........

Write articles and submit them to article directories

Submit your site to website directories,,,,,,,yes this still works

Comment on blogs that allow keywords in the name field, even those that don't as long as they have authority

Create some web 2.0 sites and link them to your site

Start a Youtube account and link from there (as mentioned above)

Buy some profile links

The list goes on and on.........or just hire me to seo your site

I've jsut read this thread as I have been searching for some advice on backlinking. Thanks for all the tips a couple of questions....

1) I have bough some backlinks ( a small package 25K) from someone, should I then index them myself? Does Backlink Energizer do this?
2) What's the best tool for searching for how many backlinks I have to my site?
3) Should I be able to see my backlinks straight away, or wait a few days?

First thing you need to do is develop a plan.

Search Engines will still give you the most traffic although other methods such as social marketing are growing rapidly. I’d advise you to try as much as possible to diversify your streams of traffic.

Here are some ideas:

- Search engines
- Social bookmarking
- Guest posting
- Blog commenting
- Forum posting
- Adverting networks
- Email list

I’ll focus on Search Engine traffic since that is what you specified in your post. There are a couple of things that you need to understand about building backlinks before you begin:

There is no such thing as a bad backlinks unless it is no-follow, even then it can still bring you traffic if people click on it. So the goal for building backlinks is to put them in as much places as possible.

Location determines how valuable backlinks are. If you leave a backlink in the comment section of a random blog that is not even related to your site, then chances are it won’t be worth as much as a backlink left within a post on a very popular site which covers the same subject.

That being said here are some of the most effective ways of building backlinks:

i do agree with him. u would be needing a killer plan to go on for marketing for this site..this is the most important and in other words its everything in terms of im......make sure to start with simple things like article marketing, linkwheels, press releases, blog comments and make a schudule like
i ll be doing
1- 1 press release every month
2- 5 articles ll write and submit on top 20 directories,
3-4 linkwheels every month targeting different keywords
4-50 bookmakring
5-1 video submission each week on youtube and other video sharing sites
6- facebook and twitter promotion
7-link exchange
and like so .... there are several other methods to get quality backlinks o ur site... i m sure more u ll search this very forum ..ll get more answers to ur questions.

Promote your website on the social networks to get more and more traffic. social networks like facebook and twitter drive maximum traffic. go and make logins there, add people, make fan pages and join communities to get lots of traffic.

In order to get quality backlinks read this tips:
- Do not use the same exact content. Don't use the exact same article that you're submitting to article directories in an article that you've already used on your own site. This may be considered "duplicate content" by the search engines. Instead, re-write the article using a different point of view so that you have something unique in both locations.
- Submit every unique version of your article to different article directories. For instance, submit one to EzineArticles.com, another version to GoArticles.com, another version to ArticlesBase.com and so forth.
- Avoid automatic "submission services". These are services that promise you that they'll submit your articles to hundreds of different article directories online. Not all article directories are created equal and there's only a few that really get the attention of the search engines on a regular basis. Save your money and submit to article directories manually. Manually submitting to top article directories and then to a select few "niche" directories is the best way to go.
- Link directly to your own website. When you create an author's bio box don't simply enter in an affiliate link in this area. What you're trying to do is get a link back to your own website; not build backlinks to the affiliate site.
- Use a keyword within the link back to your site. Instead of using just your website address in your bio box to link back to your site, also create a link that contains a keyword that you want your site to rank well for.
- Don't just link to your home page. To get the most benefit out of these backlinks you need to be using a keyword within the link back to your site (as noted in #5 above) and that link needs to point to the specific page on your site where you talk about that keyword.
- Your article doesn't just have to be limited to article directories. There are countless numbers of ezines online that need content. This can get you thousands upon thousands of visitors to your website at no cost to you. I suggest that you use the DirectoryofEzines.com to find new spots where you can submit your articles.
- Niche it out. Don't limit yourself to just the "basic" online article directories such as EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com. Seek out an article site that caters specifically to your niche topic. To do this, just go to Google and type in "your topic" + "submit articles" or "your topic" + "looking for writers" or any variation of those terms.
- Make your articles pull double-duty. Once you have articles written that you've either placed on your own site or that you've submitted to article directories, you don't have to stop there! Take those same articles, organize them, and create an e-book out of them that you give away on your own website. You can also submit your free ebook to places such as free-ebooks.net and getfreeebooks.com. Remember, within the ebooks themselves you can place links to affiliate products that you recommend.

If Your site is new, You want Google to See it as quickly as possible so You should get links from high authority places like Web Directories.

Blog comments is a little hard for Google to find your site IMHO.

The best would be to get links is from REALLY Established directories like Yahoo Site directory, Joe Ant, Goguides.org, Gimpsy, Best of the web. (But sadly, these directories are paid directories.)

For free Web directories, there is DMOZ, and Best of the web blogs.

You can also easily search in Google for more Web directories by typing in,

"Internet marketing" Directory
"Internet marketing" submit your site
"Internet marketing" add url

Of course replace "Internet marketing" with your keyword for example, "Golf" or "Dog" or "Hollywood" etc.

Remember, Links from Web Directories always catches Google's attention very easily.

Hi, As your website is new you need to adopt some basic seo strategies to promote your site or to give site a better accessibility just follow the list of strategies given bellow
1). Submit your website to 150 to 200 Directories with high page rank.
2). Share the link of your latest posts to all the social networking sites such as Facebook,Digg,Twitter and orkut etc..
3). Do social bookmarking for your post..
4). submit some quality articles to Ezinearticles, article-base and Article dashboard by leaving your sites link in the authors resource box...
5). Write some testimonials in few websites of your kind.
6). Approach/search guest posting blogs and give 1 or 2 quality articles to it by placing your sites link in it. Then your site will be expected to go up..

Building backlinks to your website is boring to do and it takes time. Try to outsource this can help grow your website traffic. But then again if you dont have the funds to do that then try:
article marketing
Blog Commenting
social Bookmark
try using some backlink sites
Like linvana for your blog commenting
and try a software called bookmark demon for your social bookmarking task
this are some things I use to grow my traffic but its up to you.

I just wanna say BIG thanks for all these tips. I personally do the most things mentioned above.

I also think it's a good idea to order a backlink package from a backlinking service, but not at the start og the backlink building. Just build and index 50-70 backlinks and when your site is about 2-3 month old - buy a package of energized backlinks. You can find several good offers here at the forum.
