Question about article submitter results?

Hi everyone,

I have a couple questions about the results obtained using an article submitter program.

1) Has anyone use article marketing robot? If so was wondering when I am to expect to be ranked highly for med-comp keywords?

2) What is the typical time frame that Google ranks back links to our page?

3) After doing a couple submissions with AMR, I started getting a lot of ping backs to my blog. I don't want to approve them because I don't want a bunch of excerpts of the content linking to me be shown on my blog posts. However in not approving them am I still getting a backlink credit?

4) When using mass aricle submitters (that submit to over 2000 places, how many backlinks do we usually get?

Thank you for your help.

    1. Yes, I have used AMR and had some great results. You cannot use it alone for mid-comp KWs though, use it in conjunction with other link building techniques such as blog commenting, profile linking, forum posting, social bookmarking, etc.

    2. There is no "typical" time.

    3. If the links are published in the resource box of your article then yes, this is a backlink. You do not need to accept spammy comments/trackbacks if you don't want to, this will just give other people backlink credit for spamming your page. I often turn off comments/trackbacks in WP to avoid dealing with this.

    4. AMR has a "livelinks" feature. Just right-click the directories after submission and go reports>livelinks.

I usually put two links in the resource box per article, meaning if there are 100 approved articles, you have created 200 backlinks.

Concentrate on indexing these articles though, so that your backlinks are actually found!

    Cheers,
    Dave

Hello and thank you for your reply.

      1. I am also using Onlywire as a mass social bookmarking service. What I do is create a blog post, do a AMR submission with the anchor name as my keyword and link it back to that main blog post that is optimized for a specific keyword. I heard many people do only this basically, an article submission with AMR and and social bookmarking to the page. In result they have been able to rank on the top 1-4 spots for keywords with as much competition as 400,000. What do you think of this? Do you think there doing something and but not revealing completely?

      2. What I meant with the comments wasn't pertaining to spam, they were just excerpts of the spun article that I submitted to directories with AMR. If I don't accept these will I still get a backlink to my page? Is a pingback basically a backlink?

      3. I guess it's fair to assume that if we submit to 200 directories that that doesn't always equate to 200 backlinks? I heard many times, depending on Google's view of the website, that they will not always count the backlinks even if they are do follow. Maybe some backlinks never get indexed.

      4. What do you meant by indexing articles? You mean the articles that are submitted on the directories via AMR? How would I do this.

Thank you very much for your help.

I don't think they are not revealing anything, SEO takes time. You just need more patience to see results.

Again, if you do a livelinks report and you see that the article is published with your links in the resource box, these are your backlinks. You don't need to worry about other things like pingbacks. Basically, a link to your site, from another site, is a backlink.

That's correct. Sometimes the articles are never crawled by Google and are never indexed. Sometimes they just take a long time to get indexed. It is often a good idea to backlink your backlinks, or at the very least, ping the articles that you submit.

Indexing articles is explained in my last point, basically, once Google adds it to its search index, it is indexed by Google. You can search for the URL of the article in Google to find out if it has been indexed.

Thank you again for your helpful reply.

I understood everything you mentioned. One last point though, when you say ping the article how many would you suggest that we do? I mean when I submit to 2000 directories, that would sure be a lot of articles to start pinging. Which ones would you focus on the most?

Also, is a ping back an indication that a backlink has been indexed? I am still getting ping backs from a submission I did 6 days ago, my assumption is that these are that the links are still being indexed. But then again, after doing a submission I would start getting ping backs (from PR0 sites) within minutes, seems unlikely that Google will index those articles so quickly.

    Thanks again.
