I wanted to find a way to google a topic & find the sites Google Page Rank.

So, say for instance that I want to post comments on blog's dealing with the topic of Bird Houses.
Is there a way either through Google et al to put Bird Houses in the 'this exact wording or phrase: 'bird house' & then somehow also have the GPR show up?

My reason is that I want to get posts on blogs that have a high GPR's so I can get a one way link back to my blog; is there a shortcut to finding high GPR blogs for the topics I'm interested in commenting on?

Thanks,

Darrell

    Hi Darrell,

If you have the google toolbar installed it shows PR when you visit the site. I'm sure you are looking for a way to see this before you visit the site and that why your are asking.

If you are using PR as the sole measure of a backlink then you are really missing the boat. All websites start at zero PR and go up from there. It's much easier to get links on newer pages that don't have that high PR yet.

Another important thing to realize is that PR has very little to do with your position in the SERP. If it's traffic you're after then you are missing the mark on what's inportant about a backlink.

With that said, there are a number of plugins for Firefox that will show the PR on SERPs. Just search for "SEO plugins for firefox".

Just be careful not to over use those features or you may find your IP temporarily banned by Google.
