Receiving traffic from expired domains and unused ppc traffic?

I'm looking at possibly purchasing a site. It is a new site established in Dec 2010. The current owner says that it is receiving traffic from expired domains and unused PPC traffic. What is unused PPC traffic?

Has anyone purchased a site with this type of traffic?

What other questions should I ask?

    Based on what you wrote there, I would say this is not an accurate statement by the guy selling the page. I am using expired domain traffic among my other tools, and its adequate, but not something that would motivate me to buy the site.

    This kind of traffic is purchased in BULK and is less expensive. However, it is based on expired domains receiving traffic, and then your site is framed inside. So one way for this to happen is that someone is going to one site and then seeing yours, so unless you have an AMAZING eye catcher, it won't convert much. My guess is that the guy bought a large amount of traffic over a campaign period and its still running. You will still have to try and seek out higher value traffic.
